Kendra D. Ward

Attorney-at-law

Kendra D. Ward- Young has extensive experience in the criminal justice arena. She served as a patrol officer, police detective, and patrol sergeant. She is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where she was active in sports and the community.

Attorney Ward received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Miles College. While at Miles College, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a member of the softball and volleyball team. Attorney Ward received her Juris Doctor from The Birmingham School of Law. She became a member of the Black Law Students Association, Alabama Lawyer Association, and the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, International. She was inducted into the Miles College Sports Hall of Fame.

Attorney Ward enjoys serving at her church and spending time with family. Attorney Ward is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, and Bessemer Bar Association. Attorney was nominated into National Black Lawyers Top 40 under 40 in 2021. Also, nominated in 2022 to Mid-South Rising Stars.
